Fundraisers and Donations
Our volunteer Board of Directors and our many volunteers coordinate annual fundraisers, food collections and charity auctions.

The Annual SSCS Auction — Area business and community citizens donate products to the annual auction and sell dinner tickets. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. If you have items you would like to donate to our yearly auction or if you would like to volunteer for one of our many events, please Contact Us.

The Erwin Phillips Rotary Bean Dinner — Named in memory of a Rotarian and SSCS board member who was dedicated to service in his home town of Sand Springs, this luncheon brings the agency $6,000-8,000 each year. It is generally held on the first or second Friday of December at noon at First Presbyterian Church of Sand Springs. The Rotary “Men of Note” chorus always lift our spirits with their jubilant voices.

The Generosity Ball — Local civic leaders instituted this new charitable gala event in the early years of this decade. Recipients of the funds raised have included the Sand Springs Museum and the Sand Springs Public Schools in addition to our agency. In 2008, funding has benefited SSCS.

Where do we get Food and Other Products?
Area churches, businesses and individuals donate school items, toiletries, blankets, school supplies and food items. We count on these donations from the public, as they account for about a large percentage of what we are able to give away.

If you would like to host a food, blanket, or back-to-school drive, please contact us!
